2019 TUPAC FESTIVAL | JUNE 15-18, 2019

A festival that focuses on the life, art, music and words of musician, philosopher, and modern cultural hero Tupac Amaru Shakur. Annual festival that includes 6-12 events held in multiple well-known venues all across Nashville, TN. The event draws over 2500 people.

2019 FREEDOM OF VOICE | YOUTH WRITERS WORKSHOP 

JUNE 12-14 2019

Founded and oversaw the inaugural Juneteenth event for Nashville, TN. A commemoration of the oldest known holiday marking the end of slavery was held at historic Fort Negley. The celebration honored the free African Americans who fought to defeat the confederacy and those who continue to fight today. The event drew over 1000 people.

2019 TOF BLACK RESTAURANT WEEK | JUNE 15-22, 2019

The inaugural run of this epic dining even will be June 15-22, 2019, when restaurants — including Slim N Huskeys, Seafood Sensations, The Garden Brunch, Smoque Signals and many more — will offer a discounted menu item that will get you through the door to revisit an old friend or to find a new favorite. Check out the Black Business Boom website and instagram pages to see the updates. June 16-23 at various restaurants.
